Image Artist Statement: Almost seven years ago, I began my professional career as an artist in Illinois. I started by painting whimsical furniture and decorative paintings, and coordinating accessories. My business grew almost overnight and with no time spared, I expanded my business to retailers including high-end local art galleries and gift shops. Within a year, I opened up my own art studio, painting exclusively commissioned fine art. Additionally, I held private art sales, was a key participant in the Junior League Showcase Home, and was an invited artist to the "Spring Scene" art exhibition held in many galleries throughout the community.

In 2003, my family and I relocated to Des Moines, Iowa and I easily settled into the local art scene. I created a third floor art studio within my home and for the first year, I worked on privately commissioned pieces while simultaneously building an expansive collection of artwork. In the spring of 2004, I joined forces with Moberg Studio and Art Gallery, selling a small collection of my work through them exclusively in Des Moines. I also became a member of the East Village Art Salon and happily participated as an invited artist at the Jordan Creek Elementary School's Fine Arts Day. My work has also been hung at the Blank Park Zoo's "Beastro" in Des Moines, Iowa, at various cafés and coffee shops. Moreover, my work has been consistently collected by interesting people from all over the country.

{quotes}My clients are almost exclusively women, fascinating women, who share my passion in work that celebrates the intelligence of expression; emotional, physical, and otherwise.{/quotes} My work has been professionally critiqued and reviewed by many art professionals. Some honorably liken my work to U.S. impressionist Marsden Hartley; some see similarities in the works of the highly celebrated Dutch painter Henry Heerup; and others see my work as parallel to the works of contemporary Latin American female artists.

In addition to having been a gallery artist, I aspire to publish my work alongside the prose and writings that accompany and inspire my paintings throughout their creative development. In April of 2005, our family again relocated, this time to phenomenally beautiful, Newport Beach, California. Here, I began to work on my current collection entitled, "Windows of the Soul." This collection is very near to my heart as each painting is intended to draw someone somewhere closer to the sacred space within themselves that they call home.' I am enthusiastic about the opportunities that abound within the local "Laguna Beach" art scene and look forward to expanding my career throughout Orange County, Los Angeles and beyond.

Malgorzata Jasinska: Artist Statement

My curse is my gift. My nightmares, deep sensitivity, and emotional instability gives the best (and most uncomfortable) inspirations I could ever have. For me, art is passion - and visions are the mirror, which show my feelings and connect me with the rest of the world.   Read More...
