helena popcorn vendor broad legs varicose veins helena popcorn vendor dead tree hair riverside skin helena
popcorn vendor
never brought nothing of no good to this world
her cart full of buttered salty sweet caramel popcorn her three children running the streets while she works
irresponsible helena unprotected helena sweaty helena pushing cholesterol and cavities
i blame you helena popcorn vendor with your slouchy stance and your upward push
i blame you helena popcorn vendor with your trudge trudge trudge and your popcooooorn 50 cents!
i blame you helena popcorn vendor - your daughter getting paid behind the church your youngest with his shoe glue and vulgarities and your eldest with his school and his books and his dreams and your eldest with his gun shaped like a megaphone and your eldest and his constant refusal strings
i will not be an airplane
i will not be a shiny factory tool
no i will not be illegible
i said look at me
i said look at me
i said look at me
and your eldest with his hand on the world like a bible and his gun pointed straight at its head
