"Why did he leave me?" She asked,
But she never should have. A trapdoor
was released within her mind and
she entered The Hall of Mirrors, where
her question was reflected back at her:
"Why? Why? Why?"

"Stop it!" She closed her eyes as
Mirrors exploded all around her,
But the questions continued:
"Was I a rubber ball that he
bounced off the walls of his ego?"
"When was the first deception?"

The naked truth when revealed to her
Had the effect of poison arrows
piercing her flesh. As grayish
morning light crept over the skyline,
she remained trapped within the
shattered landscape of her mind,
her self-doubt reflecting endlessly
throughout The Hall of Mirrors.
